Youth Leadership Group (YLG)
Our program provides area youth the opportunity to develop in youth leadership and citizenship skills,so they may enhance the quality of their own lives through service to others.
What is Y.L.G?
We are a group of youth ranging from 13-18 from all over Southeastern and Central San Diego who have taken charge of our community and lead efforts to work on alcohol, tobacco and other drug issues. Our members understand the important of being alcohol and drug free and maintain a "lead by example" lifestyle by making healthy decisions and encouraging our peers to do the same. YLG takes a pro-active role in making sure our neighborhoods are safe.
Benefits of participation: Self-Realization, Travel and participate in statewide media events and statewide conferences, participate in health fairs and community events, receive life skills, learn leadership skills, learn communication skills, meet new people, benefit your community, learn to accomplish goals, get prepared for the workforce, college application, and letter of recommendation.
If you or someone you know would like to participate in or received more information on the YLG contact our Youth Coordinators, Marissa Judge or Cris Castro at (619) 263-7768.
